The SAP art exhibition Women in Focus provides an inspiring insight into the lively and independent work of 14 female artists. In around 80 works in various media, they explore the question of female role models and the artistic self-image of women in art. The 14 exhibiting female artists, from different generations and with different artistic biographies, assert themselves with a creative freedom, showing what is often taken for granted, without being afraid to deal with so-called female themes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The portrait is at the center of their explorations and this exhibition. The artists experiment with various practices - dismantling, rearranging and questioning - in order to clarify their perception of the world. The future belongs to CMIS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) are a pioneering solution for the use of document management systems (DMS). The manufacturer-independent CMIS interface is the set standard for different DMS or enterprise content management systems (ECM) and thus also for archiving data and documents. The aim of the new standard is to make the data of all document management systems used uniformly accessible and usable. Of course, this also applies to SAP data. SAP users who archive their data externally must prepare for the interface standard. Organizations that rely on external storage in particular should use the time to make their processes and structures CMIS-ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Syntax wins Partner Award<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Syntax is one of the winners of this year's Pinnacle Awards - in the \"Rising Star\" category. As a specialist with over 40 years of SAP experience, Syntax has numerous SAP certifications in various areas such as applications, cloud and infrastructure, hosting, Hana and application management services for S\/4. As an award winner, Syntax benefits from exclusive access to SAP executives, among other things - an advantage that also benefits its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 14 SAP systems on 17 servers, 76 communication connections, 44.5 terabytes of storage: these are just some of the key figures of the transition project that Stadtwerke Gie\u00dfen and Items have successfully completed. As part of the collaboration, the SAP IS-U consumption billing system and all core systems were transferred to Items' data center, where they will now be operated and further developed. The go-live went smoothly thanks to the partnership-based cooperation and the high level of goal orientation of all those involved. The transition project included the handover of all SAP IT systems to Items. <\/p>\n\n\n\n This included the system areas for consumption billing in SAP IS-U, business intelligence with SAP BW and service integration with SAP PI\/PO and SAP Gateway. In addition, there was the connection of Stadtwerke Gie\u00dfen to the Metis items ticket system as well as an extensive interface sub-project, which required the joint project team. In total, the to-do list comprised 160 tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n MobileX presents version 10.2 of its field service management suite. The current release offers a new module for MobileX CrossMIP with plugins, which allows companies to customize the mobile app to their individual requirements. Release 10.2 also includes the new MobileX add-on for S\/4 Hana for direct integration of the solutions in on-premises S\/4 Hana. Users can now also use map material from HERE and the PTV Cloud for the MobileX-Dispatch scheduling tool and in MobileX-CrossMIP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Creaton was one of the first German building materials companies to complete the switch to S\/4 Hana Cloud Private Edition. The experts for pitched roof solutions made of clay roof tiles and concrete roof tiles took three steps at once: the carve-out from the system landscape of the old shareholder, the migration to S\/4 and the move to the cloud. Thanks to SNP's selective data migration approach (Bluefield) and the CrystalBridge data transformation platform, the company completed the complex transformation project in just twelve months - three for analysis and preparation and nine for implementation. This one-step approach enabled the company to combine various sub-projects. This significantly reduced the time and costs of the IT project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n SAP awards Conet the title of \"Partner of the Year 2022\" in the Public Services category. Conet is the first company to win the award four times in a row in this category. The award is based on an evaluation matrix known as the diamond model. This comprises the five performance dimensions of innovation, expertise, solutions, demand generation and joint partner revenue. Conet achieved outstanding performance in the Expertise and Demand Generation categories, meaning that the award will once again go to the IT consultancy in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Onapsis presents Onapsis Assess Baseline. The platform is purpose-built to provide effective vulnerability management and automated compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Manufacturing companies are investing more in the cyber security of their IT systems than in their actual production systems. This is one of the findings of the latest smart manufacturing survey conducted by the market research and consulting company Information Services Group (ISG). The survey also shows that it is often not the IT department that drives smart manufacturing initiatives, but rather managers responsible for supply chains, production and product development, as well as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). When introducing smart manufacturing, manufacturing companies face major challenges in the area of cyber security. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The transition from conventional to \"smart\" manufacturing requires an extensive IT infrastructure and software to connect previously unconnected systems to the company network or the internet. The risks here are great, as very few of the old operating systems have modern security-oriented structures. As soon as these systems are connected to a company's IT networks, the attack surface for cyber attacks increases. At present, the IT department is often still on the outside when it comes to recognizing and defending against these threats. However, ISG recommends systematically involving IT when dealing with the cyber security implications of new business models and technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Progress, provider of infrastructure software, has equipped Telerik and Kendo UI with new components, features and extensions. They offer over 30 new components, compatibility with the latest preview of NET 7 and optimized cross-product integration. Progress also released the official release of Progress Telerik UI for NET MAUI, the most comprehensive library of UI components for Microsoft's latest development framework. Telerik UI for Blazor includes, for example, the new File Manager, Filter, Floating Label and Split Button components. The Data Grid, Gantt and Tree List components have been expanded to include options for individual editing and filtering. The solution's new responsive features include scrollable tabs and a pager component.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n TeamViewer's Frontline AR platform will be integrated into SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM). The solution, which is part of the SAP cloud portfolio, enables customers to further improve their logistics processes in SAP EWM. The AR-based solution increases the productivity of employees in order picking and ensures more efficient processes throughout warehouse and logistics operations. The integration of TeamViewer Frontline into SAP EWM enables companies to provide warehouse and logistics employees with the data and information they need to complete their tasks in real time. AR-supported step-by-step instructions on smart glasses allow employees to work completely hands-free. This increases picking rates by an average of 10 to 15 percent, while the error rate drops to almost zero<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Kern's main product, Allevo, has been around for exactly 20 years, since 2002. At the very beginning it was not called Allevo, but was marketed under the name OPO, but even then it formed the bridge between SAP and Excel. Just one year after its release, it was awarded first place as \"Planning Innovation of the Year\" by the International Controller Association. Allevo offers SAP-oriented business management solutions in the areas of planning, actual posting, customizing and reporting with SAP ERP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Whether for controlling, financial accounting or logistics - thanks to its SAP-integrated Excel interface, the application manages to combine the advantages of both programs for a wide range of applications. A lot has happened and been optimized in 20 years. Numerous versions with new functionalities have been created. The new version of the planning solution has been available since May: Allevo 4.2. With the so-called Turbo-Timesetter, it is now possible here, for example, to carry out a year change with just one click using a central, formula-supported maintenance interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Forrester Consulting conducted the study \"The Advantages of Using Free and Open-Source Software vs. Open-Core Software\" on behalf of Instaclustr. A key finding of the study is that 84 percent of respondents are considering using a managed services platform with open source technologies. Free and open-source software (FOSS) enables companies to use technologies completely free of charge. Open core solutions, on the other hand, add proprietary features to existing open source offerings and charge commercial license fees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n This can lead to vendor lock-in. For the new study, Forrester asked decision-makers about the advantages of using FOSS compared to open core software.
