The fault-tolerant, stateful workflow engine simplifies the development and operation of complex, long-running and distributed business processes. Cadence is an open source tool developed by Uber that is particularly suitable for use in microservices architectures where multiple service calls need to be coordinated over time to achieve a business outcome. Cadence is becoming particularly popular with companies operating on a very large scale.<\/p>

Critical API security vulnerability<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Salt Security published the new API vulnerability report from Salt Labs, in which a server-side request forgery (SSRF) flaw was discovered in the digital platform of a US fintech company. The fintech platform offers a wide range of digital banking services to hundreds of banks and millions of customers. The API vulnerability enables the administrative takeover of accounts (account takeover, ATO). Malicious actors could have used the vulnerability to launch attacks and gain administrative access to the banking system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Digitization in the<\/strong> Healthcare<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The chronic staff shortage is currently making itself painfully felt in German hospitals. Digitalized processes and services could provide relief. This is reported in the new ISG Provider Lens Healthcare Digital Services Report Germany by the Information Services Group (ISG). According to the report, digitalized processes can help to increase the efficiency of healthcare providers, reduce costs, improve patient service and care and advance telemedicine. Digital solutions also have the potential to improve medical care in rural areas. At the same time, the study points out that the legislator is emphatically promoting the digitalization of the German healthcare market. For example, electronic patient records have been mandatory in Germany since January 1, 2021. The Hospital Future Act also promotes the digitalization of hospitals in this country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

In the three-digit<\/strong> million range<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Digital Audio Focus Group of the Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft (BVDW) e. V. has once again issued an upward forecast with its \"Online Audio and Podcast 2022\" market figures. Digital audio offerings are now more than just a trend medium. The online audio market is on a continuous growth path. Compared to the previous year, the new figures represent an increase of 20 million euros. The sales of 78 million euros originally forecast for 2021 have been positively revised upwards to around 90 million euros due to the development. For 2022, the BVDW expects further growth of over 20% for the entire online audio sector, with podcasts in particular on the rise. This corresponds to a forecast total turnover of 110 million euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The EMEA-ISG Index of the analyst and consulting firm Information Services Group (ISG) shows how the IT services market is developing worldwide and in Europe on a quarterly basis. The analysis focuses on newly concluded contracts with an annual contract value (ACV) of at least 4.6 million euros (5 million US dollars). Here are the key facts and trends for the first quarter of 2022: In the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), the recovery of the IT services market that began last year continued. Although the annual contract value of new contracts was down on the exceptionally strong first quarter of the previous year, it rose significantly in the first quarter compared to the fourth quarter of 2021, namely by 33% to USD 823 million (EUR 766 million). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the EMEA ISG Index, the total market in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), which includes both cloud-based services and managed services, exceeded the quarterly value of USD 7 billion (EUR 6.5 billion) for the first time. Compared to the first quarter of 2021, it totaled USD 7.5 billion (EUR 7 billion) with an increase of 21%. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2021, this corresponds to an increase of 8%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exit from Russia<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

SAP remains committed to supporting Ukraine. SAP writes in a press release: \"We remain convinced that coordinated cross-national sanctions are the best way to end the war in Ukraine. That is why we have implemented them without exception. However, as an employer and provider of business-critical software, we have a greater responsibility and have therefore even gone beyond the sanctions. For example, we have stopped sales in Russia and Belarus and are in the process of shutting down all cloud operations in Russia.\"<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Digital Services Act<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The fight against illegal content and \"hate speech\" online and the protection of users are more important today than ever before. The German Digital Industry Association (BVDW) is therefore in favor of updating digital legislation as part of the Digital Services Act (DSA), but also sees the risk of significant restrictions and legal uncertainty for companies. The revision of digital legislation associated with the DSA and the adaptation of the European framework conditions to the requirements of the 21st century are urgently needed and more than overdue. However, the initial press releases from the three EU institutions involved - the Commission, Council and Parliament - differ in their respective areas of focus, meaning that a final assessment of the agreement only seems possible once the final legislative text is available. The BVDW therefore continues to see the risk that the DSA could lead to massive restrictions for companies in the digital economy and more legal uncertainty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

As part of Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM), Oracle ME enables HR management and leaders to streamline communication across the organization, increase productivity and improve talent retention by creating a supportive and trusting work environment. Oracle ME is an open platform that integrates with the entire Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite. It also easily connects to third-party systems, automates their processes and allows the use of a variety of channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Partner Awards 2022<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

NetApp announces the winners of its Partner Awards 2022 for the German market. During a live broadcast in front of 200 virtually invited guests, a total of 16 awards were presented to partners who stand out for their business success and innovative strength. The \"Better Now\" studio in Hamburg provided the backdrop for the two-hour event. SAP has once again recognized SAP Gold Partner Valantic several times this year for its performance and industry expertise. As part of its Diamond Initiative for partners, the Walldorf-based software group named the consulting company Partner of the Year 2022 in the Discrete Manufacturing (DMI) and Automotive sectors. Valantic also received the Appreciation Award for the Line of Business Digital Supply Chain and was invited to join the Partner Advisory Council, which works closely with SAP. Hevert-Arzneimittel has introduced the S\/4 Hana software solution company-wide on the 50th anniversary of the software company SAP. The naturopathy specialist from Nu\u00dfbaum is thus a pioneer among medium-sized companies within the pharmaceutical industry. For the project associated with the introduction, Hevert relied on the skills of its own employees as well as a consulting firm. The replacement of previous IT systems was fully implemented with the new digital solution. Non-digital processes were also modernized and standardized as a result. All business processes such as purchasing, production, warehousing, but also finance, controlling and sales are now managed particularly efficiently using the new software. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Syntax migrates SAP system from Sanner<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Syntax has migrated the SAP system of Sanner, a manufacturer of medical technology and pharmaceutical packaging, to the AWS cloud and manages it as part of Application Management Services (AMS). In addition, the servers of Sanner's Manufacturing Execution System were moved to the Syntax data center as a colocation. By switching to SAP on AWS, Sanner benefits not only from lower hosting costs but also from variability and flexibility - without any additional effort, as Syntax also takes over hyperscaler management as part of its Managed Cloud Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SAP Innovation Award<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Certification for SAP ILM<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

xSuite has developed a new add-on for SAP ILM for its electronic archive, which has already been certified by SAP. The certification includes the use of the SAP WebDAV Storage Interface. GDPR-compliant working was already possible with the xSuite archive \"xSuite Archive Prism WebDAV for SAP ILM\". However, larger SAP customers in particular now rely on SAP ILM. It is therefore recommended that the ILM interface of the connected archive is certified. xSuite has now taken this step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Release 10.2<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

MobileX presents version 10.2 of its Field Service Management Suite. With the MobileX plugins, the current release offers a completely new module for MobileX-CrossMIP that allows companies to customize the mobile app to their individual requirements. Release 10.2 also includes the new add-on for S\/4 Hana for direct integration of MobileX-CrossMIP and MobileX-Dispatch in S\/4 Hana. Users can now also use map material from HERE and the PTV Cloud in the tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Supply Chain Planning Value<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Blue Yonder has been recognized as a Leader in Nucleus Research's Supply Chain Planning Value Matrix 2022. This position is based on the capabilities of its Luminate platform, the basis for the Luminate Planning and Luminate Control Tower solutions. Diamond initiative for SAP partners<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
