CNT supports Berndorf<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When an industrial company like Berndorf in Lower Austria relies on new technologies, then only with the best partners and solutions. In just twelve months, the Berndorf Band Group, world market leader for steel strips and strip processing lines, implemented a ledger solution based on the New General Ledger with Austria's SAP specialist CNT. Five consultants ensured that the new general ledger and asset accounting system has been in productive use for 110 system users since May 2021. The brief for the Viennese SAP consultancy CNT Management Consulting was to convert the general ledger and asset accounting to the new SAP generation. The aim was to carry out important preparatory work for the cross-divisional S\/4 conversion and create the basis for overcoming future challenges in the finance and controlling environment. <\/p>

Subscription Economy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Zuora announced the launch of the tenth version of Zuora CPQ. The new, significantly enhanced Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) component of the subscription management platform is specifically designed to manage subscription economy quotes, enabling management of the diverse service terms and frequent changes that occur throughout the subscriber lifecycle. Designed for a variety of terms with different offers required in any combination of subscriptions as well as usage-based and one-time offers, Zuora CPQ can increase native ramp-up deals over time, apply discounts to future periods or even extend the duration of a contract. Zuora CPQ is configured to manage these changing orders when subscriptions change regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SAP solutions for Austria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Walldorf-based SAP consultancy koenig.solutions is establishing a branch in Austria. Since the end of last year, the company's experts in Vienna have been advising the country's energy suppliers on optimizing their data exchange processes, thus creating the basis for energy data management of the highest quality. The Vienna branch is therefore primarily aimed at Austria's energy suppliers. To this end, koenig.solutions develops and optimizes software and SAP add-ons that are dedicated to the data exchange processes of its customers and optimize them efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Reply occupies top position<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Reply is one of the most competent and powerful SAP service providers in the PAC Radar \"Leading Providers of SAP Services in Germany 2022\", an industry study by the independent research and consulting company Teknowlogy Group. The study analyzes the service performance of 20 international consulting companies and service providers that implement SAP projects in dedicated IT market segments. Based on predefined criteria, PAC compares the strategy and development of the providers and evaluates them according to market strength and competence. These include project experience, the breadth of the range of services and local delivery capability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Innovation, streamlining and standardization<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Together with the Freudenberg Holding companies, the IT service provider Syntax has developed a particularly efficient procedure for implementing annual SAP upgrades. This means that regular updates can be realized considerably faster than usual. Freudenberg attaches great importance to updating its on-premises S\/4 Hana systems annually in order to fully exploit innovation potential and drive forward the streamlining and standardization of its SAP landscape. For the annual SAP upgrade routine, which is completed within just a few weeks, Freudenberg and the IT service provider join forces - from planning to sandbox, development and test environment to importing the upgrade into the productive system. There are clearly defined, yet permeable structures for functioning, fast and uncomplicated communication between those involved in the project. The model also benefits from a pragmatic approach with a focus on the essentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Successful implementation<\/strong> in twelve months<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner, a global provider of software solutions for digital transformation processes and automated data migrations in the SAP environment, was awarded the contract by Jenoptik to carry out the migration of the main SAP ERP system to S\/4 Hana. Jenoptik opted for the CrystalBridge data transformation platform with its highly automated solutions for all IT and business transformations, including cloud migrations. The selective data migration approach chosen by SNP (Bluefield) ensures the technology group a successful conversion of its systems and the associated added value. The contract between SNP and Jenoptik has a duration of twelve months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Easy as pie<\/strong> archivable annotations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Steag energy group and its more than 6,000 employees will soon be migrating to S\/4 Hana. But before that happens, IT wants to ensure that all documents - around 20 million - are archived securely, reliably and, above all, with all notes retrievable. This sounds easier than it is, because not only are there currently three different ERP systems in use across the company, but the reproduction of archived PDF files and their annotations is particularly difficult. Steag therefore uses the Tia H5 Viewer from KGS to provide PDF documents with maximum information content and to prepare them optimally for archiving and system changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Modern Workplace<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Bundesverband der Deutschen Volksbanken und -Raiffeisenbanken (BVR) has put the complete Microsoft 365 Office suite into operation. The lead partner in this transformation was q.beyond. The cloud and modern workplace specialist supported the association with its consulting services in all project phases and in particular with regard to the change processes brought about by Microsoft's new IT architecture. As a result of the introduction of Microsoft 365, the BVR now also has further improved processes in the areas of data protection and cybersecurity. In collaboration with q.beyond, BVR introduced the processes required for a cloud environment and raised staff awareness of the changed security requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Next-Generation Healthcare<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Siemens Healthineers is investing around 13 million euros in a partially automated production supply center (PVZ) in Kemnath, Upper Palatinate. This will be the first time that Siemens Healthineers has automated intralogistics at the Kemnath site. The new PVZ is based on concept studies and planning results from IGZ in Falkenberg. As an SAP EWM general contractor, IGZ was able to score points with one of the leading manufacturers of medical technology in particular with its technology neutrality and end-to-end integration responsibility for the solution offered, so that IGZ was awarded the overall implementation. Once the solution goes live in 2022, the Falkenberg-based company will also take over all maintenance and support services for the SAP logistics IT, plant and control technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

PAC rates Arvato Systems<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Arvato Systems has been named \"Best in Class\" provider in the \"SAP-related Services for SMBs\" category in the current PAC radar series \"Leading Providers of SAP Services in Germany 2022\" by the market analysis and consulting firm Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC). The company received an \"Excellent\" rating in seven other radars. This is the second time that Arvato Systems has positioned itself as a top provider in the PAC Radar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Increased dividend<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Supervisory Board and the Executive Board of SAP have resolved to propose to shareholders a dividend of \u20ac2.45 per share for fiscal year 2021. The proposed dividend represents an increase of approximately 32 percent over the previous year. The payment includes a special dividend of \u20ac0.50 to mark SAP's 50th anniversary. Subject to shareholder approval and taking into account the treasury shares held as of December 31, 2021, the total distribution to shareholders would amount to approximately \u20ac2.89 billion (2020: \u20ac2.18 billion). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This corresponds to a payout ratio of 54 percent (2020: -41 percent). Excluding the special dividend, the payout ratio would be around 43 percent. The dividend for fiscal year 2021 will be paid out as of May 23, 2022. SAP HXM Movement<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Centric consistently aligns its product development with the SAP HXM Movement strategy. To this end, the proven Centric audit and compliance tools for SAP HCM will also be systematically made available as cloud versions for SuccessFactors. Personnel changes are expected to reinforce this product strategy. Christian Wilms, previously Presales Manager SAP HCM Add On Tools at Centric, will drive the future-oriented development of the Centric product portfolio as the new Product Manager. His predecessor in this role, Friedhelm Rayczik, will continue to expand the sales and marketing areas in the future. Centric sees product development in view of the SAP cloud strategy as a key success factor for the company's future development. To date, the Centric tools PLX for payroll quality checks and MADAP for master data checks (Employee Central) are already available in SuccessFactors. As product manager, Christian Wilms and his team will quickly bring further audit and compliance tools into the cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Syntax supports Heraeus<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The technology group Heraeus has migrated its SAP systems to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud with the help of IT service provider and managed cloud provider Syntax. The ERP systems previously hosted in the company's own data center in Hanau now run in the public cloud, where Syntax also takes care of operating system and back-up management as well as hyperscaler management. Heraeus' historically grown SAP landscape consisted of over 40 SAP systems and more than 160 virtual servers. The two partners completed the project in less than twelve months, including cloud setup, architecture design, proof of concept and migration, in three waves. The result: an SAP environment that now runs faster, keeps internal IT less busy and enables a higher level of business continuity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Tech Skills for Impact<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Accessibility for visually impaired, motor-impaired, hearing-impaired and cognitively impaired people is rated as \"very good\" and for blind people as \"good\". Accessibility is therefore ensured for four out of five user groups without any restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Givaudan automates global order processing<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Givaudan, the global manufacturer of flavors and fragrances for the wellness and beauty market, is now relying on Esker to automate its accounts payable and order processing. A few years ago, Givaudan decided to implement Esker's cloud-based solutions worldwide as part of the development of Givaudan Business Solution. Givaudan was looking for an automation solution that could meet its current requirements and grow with its ever-expanding portfolio as the company became B Corporation certified. This is a certification for companies that meet the highest standards for verified social and environmental performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Givaudan initially commissioned Esker to eliminate inefficiencies in order entry. After seeing a significant reduction in the time required to do this, the company also turned to Esker for its accounts payable requirements. Esker's solutions eliminate the need for manual data entry through automation, helping Givaudan increase operational efficiency while allowing employees to focus on building and maintaining customer relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Best in Class<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The market observers at PAC (Pierre Audoin Consultants) have awarded q.beyond's SAP services the highest possible rating of \"Best in Class\" in the midmarket customer segment. This is based on a previous, comprehensive study by PAC, which evaluated the entire SAP provider market in Germany. In addition to the detailed survey of providers, the assessment was based in particular on evaluations by q.beyond customers who use the IT service provider's SAP services. In recent months, q.beyond has successfully completed various SAP projects for its customers - including the S\/4 implementation at Tchibo, which is one of the largest implementations of the latest SAP suite in the retail sector in Europe. These and other good customer ratings were included in PAC's assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainable purchasing<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A new study by management and technology consultancy BearingPoint on the topic of sustainable procurement shows that Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) have the opportunity to assume responsibility for a sustainable transformation as Chief Environmental Officer. They can implement this by setting the vision and strategy, supporting the necessary organizational changes and providing the corresponding budgets. And the results are clear: the companies in which the CEO also positions himself as Chief Environmental Officer are also the most sustainable purchasers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the 700 company managers and procurement and sustainability experts surveyed as part of the global study, 98% agreed that sustainable procurement is essential. 71% of participants from the DACH region (or 77% from Europe) consider a sustainable procurement concept to be very or extremely important for the future success of their company. At the same time, 81 percent (DACH region) and 77 percent (Europe) rate their company's approach as very to extremely progressive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

New taxation of cryptocurrencies<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple: cryptocurrencies have now found a firm place in the financial world and have long since shed their status as an exotic form of investment. However, they have not yet really fitted into the corset of Austrian tax law, but this is about to change: Because with the Eco-Social Tax Reform Act 2022 Part I (\u00d6koStRefG 2022 Part I), the federal government has created long-awaited clear rules for the taxation of cryptocurrencies. As cryptocurrencies did not previously constitute capital assets within the meaning of the Income Tax Act, their profits were subject to a progressive tax rate of up to 55% when sold. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, this only applied if the sale took place within one year of acquisition, i.e. within the one-year speculation period. After this period, gains were always tax-free. The new tax law now brings two significant changes: firstly, gains from the sale of cryptocurrencies are now taxable even after one year and secondly, all income from cryptocurrencies is now subject to the special tax rate of 27.5 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Majority interest<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Adesso Insurance Solutions, a subsidiary of Adesso, has acquired a majority stake in the pension strategy consultancy Ries Corporate Solutions. The company is thus further expanding its expertise in the field of company pension schemes, working time accounts and partial retirement. The existing range of services around the existing software solution Insure CollPhir will be completed by integrating legal, strategic, business management and actuarial consulting as well as insolvency protection and administration. As part of the acquisition of 80 percent of the shares in Ries Corporate Solutions, the specialized consulting firm will be renamed Adesso Benefit Solutions. The previous managing director and founder Michael Ries will be joined in the new Adesso unit by Michael H\u00f6hnerbach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
