The original idea is still valid and current, but the infrastructure for the SAP architecture has changed. In many places, on-prem has now become cloud computing. The SAP community therefore needs a SolMan relaunch, which SAP currently offers with Application Lifecycle Management, ALM, and Business Transformation Suite; BTS. ALM, however, is only a rudimentary foundation for SAP operations. What SAP has not yet focused on is the fact that the ERP world is becoming increasingly heterogeneous. Digital transformation is bringing other players into the SAP community - in addition to Microsoft, AWS and Google, Workday, Oracle, Salesforce, IBM, ServiceNow, UIPath and many more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The existing SAP customer thus needs a global, transparent and universal ALM and BTS. Whether SAP can or wants to deliver something like this has not yet been decided. The new SolMan must have no fear of contact with competitors, because otherwise it will not have understood its challenge. A new SolMan in the guise of ALM for the Business Transformation Suite, BTS, seems too short-sighted here.<\/p>
