Esker recorded its most successful quarter and year since the company was founded, exceeding the 130 million euro mark in 2021. Esker's sales revenue amounted to 133.7 million euros in 2021. This corresponds to an increase of 20 percent compared to 2020 on a fixed exchange rate basis (plus 19 percent on a current exchange rate basis). Esker generated consolidated revenue of EUR 35.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2021 - an increase of 16% compared to the fourth quarter of 2020 based on the current exchange rate. <\/p>

Firstly, companies are increasingly relying on zero trust. Many home workers use private PCs, notebooks or tablets for work and connect to company headquarters via their personal networks. To protect their networks, companies are therefore increasingly relying on the zero trust approach, which does not trust any logged-in user or end device. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another consequence of massive home working: network availability across multiple endpoints is becoming increasingly important. At the same time, the bandwidth required for voice and video is increasing significantly. Workday announces that around 1000 companies are already using its Skills Cloud. This enables them to recruit, develop and retain new talent more effectively. At the same time, Workday offers a solution, the Skills Foundation, for companies to support their customers in the rapid introduction of the skills infrastructure, which includes the Skills Cloud, Talent Marketplace and Career Hub. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Skills Cloud, which is included in Workday HCM, updates dynamically across the entire employee journey to map the development of new skills and support companies in the continuous development of skills-based HR strategies. This includes the ability to access real-time data on both existing and missing skills. This enables companies to respond better to business requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
The future of data security<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Until now, planning tanks as part of production planning in SAP systems was complex and could usually only be mapped using specific customer solutions. SAP is now addressing this issue with the support of its partner Consilio and, almost unnoticed during the pandemic, companies have evolved and introduced innovations and business models based on data. In light of these developments, consistent data management and security, as well as strict control over where data is stored, are more important than ever in 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Data security means protecting personal data - and doing so in accordance with the applicable rules wherever possible. Companies that want to set up truly effective rules for data security must be able to identify sensitive data and bring it together from the heterogeneous infrastructures within the company. Only then can they create effective rules for data security. In doing so, they are in a race with cyber criminals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Heidelberg-based software company ZetVisions is celebrating its twentieth anniversary. From its beginnings with around 20 employees and a narrowly defined corporate purpose, the company has grown into a provider of standard software solutions for investment and master data management. With 85 employees, the company serves around 200 customers in Europe and generates sales in the single-digit million euro range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n A+W Software, market leader for software in the flat glass industry and window and door manufacturing, relies on the public cloud and Syntax. The global IT service provider and managed cloud provider is supporting the software manufacturer, which is headquartered in Hesse and has locations in Australia, France, Mexico, Poland, Sweden and the USA, with all its cloud expertise, is taking care of the successive move to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and is taking over operations as part of its managed cloud services. Syntax is also responsible for client and device management at A+W Software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n The SAP consulting company Retailsolutions is an official \"Rise with SAP\" partner. After the company, which specializes in wholesale and retail, received certification for Switzerland in the summer, it has now received the award for the German market. With Rise, SAP offers a comprehensive package for the switch to the S\/4 Hana cloud and thus for digital transformation. Companies no longer have to purchase different products and services individually. The receiving company can prepare for the goods receipt in good time, organize acceptance and processing and plan production accordingly. Tangro is now introducing its new Tangro DA (Despatch Advice) software for the automated processing of incoming shipping notifications in SAP. The solution automatically recognizes all relevant contents of shipping notifications, checks them against the existing order data and posts the document directly in SAP. With Tangro DA, companies digitize manual processes in logistics and gain a complete overview of incoming goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Avast publishes the Q4\/2021 Threat Report. In particular, the abuse of the Log4j vulnerability by coin miners, remote access Trojans (RATs), botnets, ransomware and APTs put pressure on CISO departments in December 2021. In addition, Avast Threat Researchers observed the resurgence of the Emotet botnet and a 40 percent increase in coin miners - a risk to both consumers and businesses. The Q4 results also show an increase in adware, tech support scams on desktops, as well as subscription scams and spyware on Android devices targeting consumers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n At the same time, Avast recorded less ransomware and RAT activity. The vulnerability in the Java logging library Log4j proved to be extremely dangerous for organizations, as the library is ubiquitous and easy to exploit. Avast Threat Researchers observed that coinminers, RATs, bots, ransomware and APT groups have abused the vulnerability. Various botnets, including the infamous Mirai botnet, exploited the vulnerability. However, most of the bot attacks were merely tests of the vulnerability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n MobileX is one of the top employers in the SME sector for the fifth time in a row Software manufacturer xSuite launches the project \"Forest reforestation as a contribution to environmental and climate protection\" in cooperation with the international non-profit organization Trees for the Future. The number of xSuite trees planted is continuously documented on the cooperation partner's website. The company will donate one tree per year for every 20 documents processed in the xSuite cloud. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The first 4000 have already been planted. In the first year, the commitment will amount to a mid five-figure sum. The project is designed for the long term. Trees for the Future has set itself the task of combating poverty by training farmers in regenerative agriculture using the so-called \"Forest Garden Approach\". LeanIX technology can be used to identify dependencies within highly integrated ERP landscapes and create transparency across the existing IT and SAP landscape - a key factor for successful transformations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Workday introduces Workday Everywhere. The suite of pre-configured connectors integrates Workday tasks and insights directly into digital work environments, helping organizations deliver a better work experience to their employees. With Workday Everywhere, employees can quickly and easily access Workday within their workflows without having to switch between different applications. Employers can use Workday Everywhere to deliver an experience that is as simple as it is connected to increase employee productivity and engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Syntax presents its new CxLink product family. With the current five CxLink solutions, SAP customers can easily bridge the gap between their SAP applications and the AWS cloud. SAP data, for example, can be stored cost-effectively and flexibly in the public cloud. This reduces the complexity of the SAP system landscape, improves scalability and enables companies to easily use different AWS services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Yunio from Theobald Software, companies can design, automate and integrate their SAP processes directly in the web browser using their familiar cloud applications. The no-code solution connects SAP and web or cloud-based applications and ensures that even complex process flows overcome system boundaries. It does not matter whether SAP is operated on-premises or in the cloud. Users can design processes individually and access data at any time via a central platform, regardless of location or device.
