SAP is looking at topics such as AI, blockchain and IoT. \"What began as a standalone service that could be booked as the basis for IoT applications and then converted into a functioning solution within the company are now services that can be integrated into existing company processes with just a few clicks. Standard processes of the individual industries are taken into account, but can be adapted to individual processes without much effort<\/em>\", explains Carsten Manske from Abat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Data in particular offers every company great potential for optimization. For example, data that accumulates in the individual processes - in manufacturing, for example - can be collected and managed via an IoT service. Such an IoT service can be easily connected to a solution such as SAP Intelligent Asset Management and data can be made available for the functions.<\/p>

\"It does not matter which IoT service is available in the company. SAP allows very flexible adjustments to be made to the existing system landscape and uses its own interfaces to connect a wide range of data suppliers. In addition, plants can also be connected directly to the solution and use SAP's integrated IoT service.<\/em>\" says Manske.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With IoT solutions from SAP, decisions can be made in real time based on precise information. SAP Intelligent Asset Management supports users with functions from the area of predictive maintenance. In this process, sensor data based on vibration patterns and other parameters are used to detect failures at an early stage and are reported by the system. This means that maintenance can be planned at an early stage and carried out at a time when production is not at risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to be able to use such functions, terabytes of data do not have to be analyzed and prepared - on the contrary: SAP offers its customers usable and intelligent algorithms here that have already been trained beforehand and can be used via drag-and-drop. This means that predictive maintenance can be used in processes immediately. This saves time. In addition, the data can be further processed for use in reporting with the SAP Analytics Cloud. In this way, the data from the production plants can be used in the company by bundling data from all areas of the organization on dashboards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
