According to a recent forecast by research and consulting firm Gartner, IT spending in EMEA will amount to 1.3 trillion US dollars in 2022, which corresponds to an increase of 4.7% compared to 2021. The growth rate in 2022 will therefore be lower than in 2021, when IT spending in the EMEA region is expected to increase by 6.3%. The biggest change will be in how IT is funded, and not necessarily to what extent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"This means that expenditure on technology is no longer part of the selling overheads (SGA), but belong to the cost of sales (COR) or possibly to the cost of goods sold (COGS)\"<\/em>says John Lovelock, Distinguished Research Vice President at Gartner. \"CIOs have to manage the balancing act between saving money and thus stabilizing the company and increasing turnover, thereby laying the foundations for the future.\"<\/em> <\/p>
