At least that is what the latest research data from L\u00fcnendonk on the German IT services market suggests: the turnover of Germany's leading IT service providers increased by 4.9% in 2020, the year of the coronavirus crisis. The reasons for this include high investments in digital topics of the future such as the cloud, the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, as well as activities related to these technology topics for the development of data-based business models and process improvements. L\u00fcnendonk's data for 2021 and 2022 also shows that SMEs and corporations will continue to consistently invest in the restructuring of their IT landscape and the development of a modern technology stack. The top topics here are IT modernization, cloud migration, software development, Industry 4.0, digital workplace and - as a cross-cutting issue - cybersecurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Salary reduction for work equipment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
For 86% of respondents in Germany, the choice of their own work device is very important. More than nine out of ten (94%) would even be prepared to sacrifice part of their salary for it. 63 percent of the study participants stated that they would be more likely to switch to a company and 72 percent that they would be more likely to stay with a company if they could choose their own work equipment. Converted into monetary value, respondents in Germany are prepared to give up an average of 110 euros of their salary. Study participants report numerous benefits of having an employee choice program, including feeling more valued. For many companies, however, employee choice is not a priority. For example, only 48% say that their company allows them to choose their own work device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n NetApp announces new additions and enhanced capabilities to its hybrid cloud portfolio to help organizations modernize their IT infrastructures and accelerate digital transformation. Once top management has recognized this, the first step towards a data strategy has already been taken. The next step is to communicate this realization across all areas of the company. This often triggers a small cultural revolution, as a data-centric company only works in agile and cross-functional structures. It is advisable to appoint a Chief Data Officer to drive the transformation forward by raising awareness and designing training courses for employees. However, these are only helpful if the decision-makers also have the courage to break up encrusted structures, dissolve departmental silos and remove anything that prevents employees from pursuing common goals. Within nine months, the company switched from the existing, outdated financial solution to the new cloud as part of a best-of-breed approach. The leading wholesaler for electrical installation materials benefits from best-practice financial processes and can always take future innovations for this area with it thanks to the cloud infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Freudenberg Performance Materials has converted its central database from Oracle to Hana. As before, the hosting model will be a private cloud in Syntax's data center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Inform is now offering companies that use SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) for warehouse management and control an add-in specially developed for SAP EWM, the Inventory Sampling Manager, for the guided connection of inventory sampling.
