Common Criteria EAL 4+<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Suse Linux Enterprise Server Distribution has received Common Criteria EAL 4+ certification. Suse Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 15 SP2 is now certified EAL 4+ for IBM Z, Arm and x86-64 architectures, confirming compliance with the demanding security requirements for mission-critical infrastructures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The certification of the Suse software supply chain includes secure production, the provision of updates and the effective protection of important digital resources. This makes Suse currently the only provider of a current Linux operating system for all environments with a secure software supply chain that is certified according to Common Criteria EAL 4+ for all these platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

S\/4 Hana introduced<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

With q.beyond as its implementation partner, Tchibo has converted its SAP retail system to S\/4 Hana. Tchibo opted for the next ERP generation at an early stage and now operates one of the largest industry solutions in Europe with S\/4 Retail for Merchandise Management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

q.beyond developed a project approach for Tchibo that made it possible to convert the entire legacy system into the S\/4 system over an extended weekend. As all of the group's European subsidiaries are supplied with goods centrally, a multi-stage go-live was ruled out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the course of the 18-month project, all productively used sales, purchasing and materials management processes were converted to S\/4 and the new general ledger was introduced. In addition, q.beyond integrated 30 SAP and non-SAP systems with S\/4. The project went live over Ascension Day and was completely on schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Theft of customer data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Trend Micro has confirmed in a new study that the risk of cyber attacks has increased over the past year. For the next twelve months, 83 percent of all German companies expect to be affected by data theft. The majority of respondents rate attacks as somewhat to very likely. The results come from the Trend Micro Cyber Risk Index, which is published every six months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Available in the SAP Store<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Esker announces that its Accounts Payable Automation and Order Management Automation solutions are now available in the SAP Store. The Store is the digital marketplace for SAP offerings and complementary solutions from SAP partners. The availability of Esker solutions in the SAP Store further expands the partnership between Esker and SAP, which has existed for over 15 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Improved interoperability<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Suse introduces Rancher 2.6, available immediately. This latest version of the open source enterprise Kubernetes management platform is the first major Rancher release since the acquisition of Rancher Labs in December 2020. Suse Rancher 2.6 includes major updates across the platform, enabling enterprise customers to more efficiently manage their growing Kubernetes environments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further developments include a redesigned platform with a clear user interface and logic-based workflows as well as the complete lifecycle management of hosted Kubernetes clusters in Microsoft AKS and Google GKE in addition to the existing Amazon EKS functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The golden 20s for cloud computing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cloud computing is experiencing an upswing: the results of this year's KPMG \"Cloud Monitor\" study show that there are hardly any companies with 20 or more employees that are not at least looking into the use of cloud computing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The survey of 251 companies was conducted in Austria for the second time and was once again carried out in collaboration with the Bitkom Re-search Group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While only 47% used a cloud solution last year, 63% of respondents now report that they have integrated cloud computing - an increase of 16 percentage points within a year. In comparison, 82% of companies in Germany use the cloud. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

30 percent of respondents plan to integrate cloud computing and seven percent state that no use is planned. All respondents agree that cloud solutions make a contribution to digitalization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Forrester Wave about PwC<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The auditing and consulting firm PwC has been recognized as the top European Cybersecurity Consulting Provider in The Forrester Wave Ranking. The report notes that clients recognize added value when they use outcome-based cybersecurity services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the way European CISOs (Chief Information Security Officers) work with their cybersecurity suppliers. The most far-reaching change is the new home office implementation, where collaboration is less physical and increasingly remote. New models are required here that ensure a confidential exchange of results, provide for risk transfer and offer performance-based pricing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Sustainable Insurance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The vast majority of consumers in Austria, Germany and Switzerland expect a high level of commitment from their insurance company when it comes to sustainability. Transparency and traceability are also of particular importance from the customer's point of view, as the latest sentiment barometer from management and technology consultancy BearingPoint shows. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked about the most important issues for them, investments in environmental protection and sustainable projects are at the top of the list. Honesty and transparency also play a very important role for consumers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to money, for many insurance customers the desire for more sustainability seems to end with a lower return. For example, 53% of Germans, 49% of Austrians and 47% of Swiss state that they do not want to buy an insurance product that may promise a lower return due to its sustainable orientation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Avantra joins ServiceNow program<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Avantra has announced its integration with Service Graph and joining the ServiceNow Service Graph Connector program. This allows customers to quickly, easily and reliably load third-party data into the system, enabling data quality, timeliness and scalability. Connectors validated through ServiceNow's program integrate the expertise of the ServiceNow partner ecosystem into Service Graph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Roll-out of Windows 11<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The roll-out of Windows 11 will begin on October 5, 2021. The operating system will be available on new PCs and will be rolled out gradually as a free upgrade on eligible Windows 10 PCs. The roll-out will then be gradually extended to devices already available on the market. Users whose Windows 10 devices are eligible for the upgrade will be notified via Windows Update as soon as it is available for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SAP Fioneer goes live<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

SAP announced the global launch of SAP Fioneer. This follows the announcement in April of this year by SAP and Dediq, an investor focused on information technology, of the creation of SAP Fioneer. It is a joint venture between the two companies specializing in the financial services industry (FSI). SAP Fioneer will expand SAP's offering for FSI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Shared Campaign Identifier<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft (BVDW) e. V. supports the European transparency initiative Shared Campaign Identifier (SCID) in the field of programmatic advertising. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project was launched by the French media umbrella organization Edipub with the support of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) France: Advertisers and publishers receive a common campaign identifier. This campaign identifier makes it possible to compare and track advertising expenditure and revenue on both sides of the programmatic value chain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the German side, the BVDW has already launched a pilot project together with the Mediaplus Group, Xandr as technology partner and the advertising client Delta Pronatura, with further projects to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
