Webinar: 3 ways to simplify an SAP HANA landscape

The future belongs to the intelligent company. It is based on data and the ability to process and evaluate information in real time. This enables faster and better decisions to be made and processes to be automated.

The intelligent company relies on an intelligent ERP that can be used to implement data-driven processes and business models. SAP S/4HANA is such an intelligent ERP solution. However, migrating to the new generation of software from Walldorf is a challenge for many existing SAP customers. After all, they have to find ways and means of transferring existing data and processes to the new software generation as efficiently as possible, while at the same time developing and optimizing them for the future.

Agility needs a solid foundation

Projects of this size and strategic importance need a solid foundation. Nobody builds a house on unstable ground so that the foundations have to be continuously and expensively shored up and renewed.

SAP S/4HANA is agile software that must be based on an agile infrastructure so that companies can fully exploit its potential. This is all the more necessary as IT budgets in most companies will only increase moderately, if at all. SAP experts must therefore exploit all potential for reducing operating costs and administrative expenses.

Agility requires scalability and automation

These potentials include the highest possible degree of infrastructure automation, which massively reduces administration costs. It must also be possible to expand and scale the infrastructure flexibly and in line with demand. This not only reduces the initial investment requirement, but also ensures that all required capacities - computing resources and storage volumes - grow in parallel with the application and database and without any effort on the part of the administrators.

Agile ERP software is not just about fast data analysis and processing. It must also be able to be developed flexibly and dynamically in order to support ever more frequent changes in the market. Development and test systems must be set up and put into operation quickly and flexibly. In addition, time-consuming dependency and compatibility checks for updates at application and infrastructure level should be eliminated. This is because these not only tie up enormous administrative resources. They also prolong the time windows required for updates and reduce the number of updates that can be managed technically and administratively.

Agility needs simplicity

Existing SAP customers who are planning and preparing to migrate to SAP S/4HANA need an infrastructure that is simple, scalable and automated and enables updates at the touch of a button. This not only saves operational and investment costs, but also simplifies the tasks of SAP experts and gives them valuable time - time that they can use for migration and continuous innovation.

In the webinar "3 Ways to Simplify an SAP HANA Landscape", learn about an infrastructure with these features and benefits: the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform.
